“Cyber is an area that from the insurance and reinsurance perspective brings the ability to create new insurable exposures, which are needed in the marketplace,” said Edward Hochberg, chief executive officer, North America, JLT Re. “The market is looking forward to this segment growing more than it has over the next several years.”

Keith Wolfe, president, U.S. property/casualty regional and national, Swiss Reinsurance America Corp, highlighted the opportunities that private flood insurance brings. He said, “Since there are a lot of flood risks in the United States that are either under-insured or not insured at all, there are major opportunities in the market.”

A.M. Best Senior Managing Director and Chief Rating Officer Stefan Holzberger, spoke about how companies are using innovation.

“With all the attention being paid to flood, cyber and/or underwriting terrorism risks, companies are starting to use their innovative capabilities to try and grow their businesses through these key products,” said Holzberger.
