AM Best Supplemental Rating Questionnaire to be Available in Client Rating Portal February 11

AM Best has announced that the 2018 statement-year Supplemental Rating Questionnaire (SRQ) will be available for completion through the Client Rating Portal (portal.ambest.com) on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019.

For international SRQ filers, the Common & Preferred Stock, Real Estate & Other Assets exhibit has been modified to allow for the entry of Non-Affiliated (Public) with Global Rating BB+, BB, BB- Preferred Stocks statement values. No other exhibits have been added, deleted or modified from the 2017 statement-year SRQ.

For reference, there are a number of short tutorial videos and FAQs located in the portal, which review how to assign individuals access to specific and/or all SRQ exhibits; an overview of the Initial Questionnaire process; and accessing, completing and submitting the SRQ to AM Best. The portal also will contain a set of detailed instructions for specific exhibits when it is made available on Feb. 11.

AM Best is requesting that administrators submit the completed filing within the portal by Monday, April 1, 2019. However, in the event there is an alternative fiscal year-end reporting date different from that of Dec. 31, 2018, the requested completion date generally is 10 weeks following the rated entity’s fiscal year-end close.
