FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OLDWICK - MAY 30, 2019 08:27 AM (EDT)
AM Best Director John Andre will lead a session at the Farm Bureau Insurance Managers Conference, titled, “AM Best Innovation Survey and Approach in Rating,’ on Tues., June 4, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. (MDT) in Jackson Hole, WY.

In late 2018, AM Best released an extensive survey of 450 rated insurance companies globally on the subject of innovation. A key finding of that survey was that nearly nine out of 10 respondents said that innovation was moderately to extremely critical to their organization’s success. AM Best believes the increased pace of change in society, climate and technology has made innovation increasingly critical to the long-term success of all insurers, and subsequent to the survey, the rating agency released a draft criteria procedure, titled, “Scoring and Assessing Innovation.” Andre will discuss AM Best’s views on innovation, as well as the survey results and draft criteria procedure.

Andre has more than 30 years’ experience with AM Best and is responsible for a broad array of U.S., Canada, Bermuda and Caribbean-based property/casualty writers focused on national personal lines and local and regional coverages, as well as workers’ compensation, professional liability, excess and surplus, specialty commercial, captives and title companies.

The event, which runs June 1-5, will take place at Snake River Lodge in Jackson Hole, WY.

AM Best is a trusted source of insurance market insight and data, and the only global credit rating agency with a unique focus on the insurance industry. Best’s Credit Ratings are a recognized indicator of insurer financial strength and creditworthiness.
