AM Best is pleased to announce that it will co-sponsor the annual Emerging Leaders Conference, which recognizes high-performing individuals and provides professional training to develop the next generation of insurance industry leaders. The event, which will take place Feb. 23-25, 2020, in Austin, TX, is hosted jointly with the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) and the Insurance Careers Movement.
AM Best Rating Services President and CEO Matthew C. Mosher will participate in “The Executive Mindset Panel Discussion,” at 9:30 a.m. (CST) on Monday, Feb. 24, which will be moderated by APCIA President and Chief Executive Officer David Sampson.
AM Best Rating Services Senior Financial Analyst Chris Draghi, CPCU, also was selected by conference organizers to participate in the annual event. “AM Best is proud of Chris’ participation, and our continued support of the Insurance Careers Movement, given its vital role in cultivating and sustaining future industry talent,” Mosher said.
As part of the property/casualty ratings division, Draghi follows a portfolio of regional personal and commercial lines writers that primarily operate in the northeast United States and in Florida. Draghi also has participated in industry events focused on the Florida insurance marketplace.
The Insurance Careers Movement is an industrywide initiative designed to raise awareness of the diverse career options that risk management and insurance offer. AM Best is actively participating in the movement to address the industry’s critical talent gap issue. Talented people and strong leadership are critical to maintaining a financially strong insurance industry. The Insurance Careers Movement has grown to more than 1,000 different insurance carriers, companies, media organizations and third-party vendors from around the globe.
