AM Best will sponsor and participate in the Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) 2020 International Conference, taking place March 8-10, 2020, at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA.
Vicky Riggs, AM Best Rating Services senior financial analyst, will take part in a panel session, titled, “Innovative Captive Structures for a Harsh Market,” on Tuesday, March 10, at 10 a.m. (PDT). The session will focus on how captive insurers can utilize their captive better for expanded participation in property/casualty and other traditional lines of coverage amid uncertainty in traditional commercial lines. Included in the discussion will be a results comparison of the captive and traditional commercial lines industry, as well as how to calculate captive premiums and navigate the stop-loss insurance market. At AM Best, Riggs is responsible for the rating and analysis of a diversified portfolio of domestic property/casualty insurance companies, including captive insurers.
AM Best will be a gold level sponsor of the conference, which is themed as “Building on the Best.” The event will address the risks and opportunities captive and risk managers face for optimal uses of their captive insurance companies.
