OLDWICK - APRIL 24, 2019 09:34 AM (EDT)
AM Best Managing Director John Andre will participate in a panel discussion at the InsurTech, Analytics and Data Symposium on Thurs., May 9, 2019, at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA.

The one-day event, hosted by Saint Joseph’s University and Eos Venture Partners, will focus on the impact of data and emerging technologies on the insurance industry. Andre will take part in a panel discussion, titled, “View from the C-Suite: What Will AI Really Mean?” and discuss the ways artificial intelligence is empowering innovation in the insurance industry, and how it likely will impact insurers, including a better leveraging of data, improved customer interactions and a streamlining of the claims process.

Andre has more than 30 years’ experience with AM Best and is responsible for a broad array of U.S., Canada, Bermuda and Caribbean-based property/casualty writers focused on national personal lines and local and regional coverages, as well as workers compensation, professional liability, excess and surplus, specialty commercial, captives and title companies. He also works closely with the AM Best analytical teams based in Singapore and Hong Kong.

The event begins at 12:30 pm (EDT), and will feature a variety of sessions focused on the growing alignment between emerging technologies and insurance, including looks at the insurer-insurtech relationship, what insurance and technology experts expect going forward and potential financial impacts to insurers. Andre’s panel discussion is set for 2:45 pm (EDT). For more information about the symposium, please view the event overview.
