Best's Rankings: Assurant US Warranty DPW Rises 20.2%, Surpasses Allstate and Fortegra
OLDWICK, N.J. //BestWire// - U.S. warranty direct premiums written increased 5.9% last year to $3.93 billion, according to a new Best's Ranking report.
Assurant P&C Group moved past Allstate Insurance Group and Fortegra P&C Group to No. 8. It grew premium 20.2% in the line to $184.5 million.
Courtesy Insurance Co. remained the top writer of U.S. warranty as DPW rose 10.2% to $627.4 million in 2024.
AmTrust Group stayed in the No. 2 position, with premiums up 0.7% to $557.7 million.
The report includes 2024 direct premiums written and percentage change, three years of market share and adjusted loss ratios and the percentage share of company premiums for the line.
