AM Best to Participate at AAM Investment Conference

//BestWire// - AM Best will participate in the AAM Investment Conference, which will be held June 20-21, 2024, in Chicago, IL.
AM Best Chief Rating Officer Stefan Holzberger will take part in a session titled, “Ratings Volatility in the U.S. Insurance Market.” This session will look into the volatility experienced by U.S. property insurance carriers, in contrast with the relative stability seen within the U.S. life and annuity segment. For property insurers, the data shows a trend of mounting losses driven by rising claims costs and retentions, together with challenges achieving rate adequacy. Although challenges exist for life and annuity insurers, AM Best notes these carriers are producing robust earnings, and growth in capital and surplus that is driving overall ratings stability.
The event will be held at Loyola University’s School of Law in downtown Chicago. The session with Holzberger will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 20.
