FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OLDWICK - JULY 27, 2021 11:37 AM (EDT)
A panel of AM Best analysts and industry leaders will discuss the state of the captive insurance market and the regulatory and risk issues affecting the captive sector at AM Bests Captive Market Briefing, which will take place on Aug. 4 at 2:00 p.m. (EDT).

To register, please go to http://www.ambest.com/webinars/captives21/index.html .

During the briefing, titled, “Captives’ Flexibility and Control Enable Them to Outperform Commercial Peers,” the panelists will examine financial results for captives, risk retention groups and related organizations, which continue to outstrip those of the broader U.S. property/casualty industry. They also will discuss market trends affecting the sector, including the impacts from COVID-19 and hard market conditions in the commercial lines insurance sector on uses and formations, as well as opportunities to grow into new lines of business. Portions of the discussion will be based on AM Best’s annual report on rated captives.

Speakers include:

  • Dan Teclaw, associate director, AM Best;

  • Fred Eslami, associate director, AM Best;

  • Jay Curtis, associate director, Aon; and

  • Brendan Gardiner, director, Archer-Daniel-Midland (ADM) Insurance.
