AM Best will join a committee session at the National Council of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) Annual Meeting, which will take place Nov. 16-19, 2022, in New Orleans.
AM Best Senior Director Michael Porcelli will take part in the Life Insurance & Financial Planning Committee session, which is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 17 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. (CST). Porcelli will participate in a portion of the session that will look at viewpoints on uniform regulation in insurer investing.
Porcelli has nearly three decades of experience in various roles in the banking and insurance industries and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He currently heads up AM Best’s team of life/annuity insurance rating analysts covering North American and Caribbean insurers. Joining Porcelli in the discussion is Jim Hodges, former governor of South Carolina and the executive director of the National Alliance of Life Companies, and Jennifer Webb, assistant vice president, assistant general counsel and head of state government affairs at Pacific Life.
