Best's Rankings: US Property/Casualty NPW Rises 8.5% to $937.77 Billion

OLDWICK, N.J. //BestWire// - U.S. property/casualty net premiums written increased 8.5% last year to $937.77 billion, according to a new Best's Rankings report.



NPW decreased for several of the largest writers. Liberty Mutual Insurance Cos. moved to No. 6 from No. 5 a year earlier with a 4.9% decline in NPW to $38.49 billion. Nationwide Property & Casualty Group's 9.9% drop in NPW, to $17.22 billion, moved it to No. 11 from No. 9 in 2023.

No. 1 State Farm Group's NPW grew 16.4% to $107.76 billion.

Tesla Insurance Group had the greatest percentage increase in NPW of the 200 largest writers at 188.2% to $316.7 million, moving it to No. 191 from No. 304.

The ranking includes NPW and percentage change.
