Best's Rankings: US Individual Comprehensive Hospital & Medical Up 22.1% to $4.22 Billion
OLDWICK, N.J. //BestWire// - U.S. individual comprehensive hospital and medical accident and health premiums contracts increased 22.1% last year to $4.22 billion, according to a new Best’s Rankings report.
Aetna Life Group jumped to No. 3 from No. 10 a year earlier on $341.8 million of accident and health contracts.
UnitedHealth Life Cos. moved to No. 2 from No. 4 with a 142.3% increase to $577.3 million of contracts.
Cigna Life Group was one of just two top-20 writers to retain its rank from the prior year. It held the No. 1 spot, growing 20.1% to $2.47 billion of accident and health contracts.
