Best’s Rankings: US P/C All Individual Accident and Health DPW Increased 16.3% in 2023
OLDWICK, N.J. //BestWire// - During 2023, direct premiums written for U.S. all individual accident and health lines increased 16.3% to reach $6.08 billion, according to a new Best’s Rankings report.
Fairfax Financial (USA) Group retained its top spot with DPW increasing 4.1% to reach $884.7 million. Chubb INA Group moved up six spots in the ranking to land at No. 2 with $870.8 million in DPW. State Farm slid down one spot to No. 3 with DPW totaling $756.9 million this past year. Swiss Reinsurance Group and CNA Insurance Cos. rounded out the top five with DPW of $526.7 million and $403.7 million, respectively.
BCS Insurance Co. and Arch Insurance Group broke into the top 10 for 2023. BCS, No. 9, had an 18.1% increase in DPW, which reached $181.2 million, while No. 10 Arch saw DPW increase 20.1% to total $163.4 million.
