Best’s Rankings: Beazley Leaps to No. 2 in Stand-Alone Cyber Ranking
OLDWICK, N.J. //BestWire// - Beazley USA Insurance Group was the second-largest writer of stand-alone cyber insurance in 2025, moving up from the No. 10 spot the year prior, with $493.9 million in direct premiums written, according to a new Best’s Rankings report.
Chubb INA Group overtook Travelers Group as the No. 1 insurer on the ranking, with DPW growing 8.8% to $508.2 million this past year.
Rounding out the top five stand-alone cyber insurers were Travelers with $473.4 million in DPW; At-Bay Specialty Insurance Co., $250.8 million; and Tokio Marine US PC Group, $226.5 million.
More than half of the top 10 insurers in the space saw DPW decline in 2025. XL America Cos., which fell from No. 3 in 2024 to No. 7 this past year, saw the steepest drop as DPW fell 40.1% to $20.8 million.
Overall, the sector saw DPW increase 2.9% to $4.73 billion this past year. The top 25 carriers accounted for $4.07 billion of the sector’s total 2025 DPW.
The report includes direct premium written, change in premiums, market share, adjusted loss ratio and percentage of the line in the company’s overall business.
