A.M. Best Revises Outlook to Positive for Celina Group
OLDWICK, N.J. //BestWire// - A.M. Best Co. has affirmed the financial strength rating (FSR) of B++ (Good) and assigned issuer credit ratings (ICR) of “bbb+” to the Celina Group (Celina) (Celina, OH) and its members. The outlook for the FSR has been revised to positive from stable, and the outlook assigned to the ICRs is positive. (See below for a detailed listing of the companies and ratings.)
The ratings reflect Celina’s solid risk-adjusted capitalization, continued improved underwriting performance and conservative investment portfolio. These positive rating factors are somewhat offset by Celina’s high underwriting expense ratio and geographic concentration of risk. In addition, the outlook reflects A.M. Best’s expectation that the group’s underwriting performance and capitalization will continue to trend favorably.
The FSR of B++ (Good) has been affirmed and the ICRs of “bbb+” have been assigned to Celina Group and its following members:
- The Celina Mutual Insurance Company
- Miami Mutual Insurance Company
- National Mutual Insurance Company
- Republic Mutual Insurance Company
