Best’s Rankings: BCS Insurance Co. Tops List of U.S. P/C Dental Only by Direct Premiums
OLDWICK, N.J. //BestWire// - BCS Insurance Co. leads U.S. property/casualty dental only carriers in the United States with $15.8 million in direct premiums written in 2022, according to a new Best’s Rankings report.
The company’s direct premiums written were almost a third of the $48.9 million for the eight companies ranked in the report.
Second among dental only carriers was UPMC Insurance Group with $13.9 million in direct premiums written, it said.
It was followed by Independence America Insurance Group with $10.7 million and Tokio Marine US PC Group with $6.6 million in direct premiums written, it said. The other carriers reported DPW of under $1 million.
The report also provides market share and adjusted loss ratios for 2022. Retailers Insurance Co. reported the highest adjusted loss ratio of 86.5, it said.
Also in the report is a column listing the percentage of company income the dental premiums provide.
