Best's Rankings: US 2024 Other Commercial Auto Liability DPW Rose 12.8%
OLDWICK, N.J. //BestWire// - U.S. 2024 other commercial automobile liability direct premiums written rose 12.8% to $54.57 billion in 2024, according to a new Best's Rankings report.
DPW for the top 25 writers rose 13.0% to $36.84 billion.
The top four writers of other commercial auto liability retained their positions from the previous year.
Top-ranked Progressive Insurance Group's DPW rose 10.5% to $8.16 billion. Second-ranked Travelers Group's DPW rose 13.1% to $3.02 billion. For No. 3 Liberty Mutual Insurance Cos., DPW rose 6.0% to $2.20 billion.
The rest of the top 10 writers saw their DPW rise by double digits. Berkshire Hathaway Insurance advanced to No. 5 from No. 6 as its DPW rose 36.3% to $2.09 billion.
The three-page report examines 2024 DPW; percent change; market share and adjusted loss ratios for 2024, 2023 and 2022; and other commercial auto liability DPW as a percent of company premiums.
