2026 Best's Rankings: Meiji Yasuda Life Moves up to Become No. 7 US Term Life In-Force Writer
OLDWICK, N.J. //BestWire// - Meiji Yasuda U.S. Life Group outpaced top competitors and increased U.S. term life in force by 12.1% last year to become the seventh-largest insurer of the line, according to a new Best's Rankings.
It moved ahead of No. 8 Hannover Life Reassurance America, which saw term life in force decline 3.9% to $1.08 trillion.
RGA Group remained No. 1 after growing term life in force 11.8% to $2.4 trillion.
The industry's U.S. term life in force increased 2.4% to $27.94 trillion last year.
But term life in force declined at four of the 10 largest writers: Scor Life U.S. Group, Prudential of America Group, Corebridge Financial and Hannover Life.
The ranking includes 2025 term life in force and the percentage change.
