2026 Best's Rankings: Old Republic Vaults to No. 13 in Other Health, Ties State Farm's Market Share
OLDWICK, N.J. //BestWire// - Old Republic Insurance Group became the No. 13 writer of other health direct premiums written in 2025 and its market share tied with State Farm Group, according to a new Best's Rankings.
DPW rose to $124.1 million, and its market share climbed to 1.8% from 0.1% in the prior year, raising it from the No. 32 writer.
State Farm's $128.4 million in premiums rose 8.8%, as it kept the No. 12 position.
Fairfax Financial (USA) Group remained the top writer of other health as premiums jumped 32.6% to $1.22 billion.
Swiss Reinsurance Group surpassed QBE North America Insurance Group to take the No. 3 spot after its other health premiums were up 29.3% to $877.7 million.
Industry direct premiums written by U.S. property/casualty writers rose 20.1% to $7.08 billion.
The report includes 2025 direct premiums written and percentage change, three years of market share and adjusted loss ratios and the percentage share of company premiums for the line.
