OLDWICK, N.J. //BestWire// - India's insurance market is one of the world's fastest growing, but the country's insurers and regulator know some serious reforms are needed to make it a world-class market. An abstract of A.M. Best's new report on India's life and non-life market is featured in the current edition of BestWeek Asia-Pacific.

The edition also takes an advance look at this week's 5th India Rendezvous, which is expected to attract more than 450 professionals to Mumbai. Vasilis Katsipis, general manager for market development with A.M. Best Europe, will be a featured presenter at the conference.

Also in BestWeek Asia-Pacific, Australia's QBE Group warned that it expects 2011 profit to fall up to 50% due to high catastrophe losses and weak investment results.

The 17 January edition is available at www.bestweek.com/asia and www.bestweek.com.
