AM Best to Participate in Upcoming IASA Conferences, Including Panel Discussion on Growing Importance of ESG for Insurers

Oldwick //BestWire// - AM Best Senior Director Daniel Ryan will participate in a panel discussion on the growing importance of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors at the IASA Xchange event, which will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD, from June 5-8, 2022. Ryan will participate in a session that will address the importance of ESG, and what insurance organizations can do now to prepare for the future. He will be joined by John Romano, a partner at Baker Tilly. The hour-long session is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. (EDT) on Tuesday, June 7.
AM Best Director Jacqalene Lentz and Kevin Varvaro, financial analyst, will give a presentation at the IASA OnPoint event, which is titled, “AM Best’s Highly Rated Insurers: Do You Have What It Takes?” Lentz and Varvaro will discuss typical characteristics of highly rated companies and highlight various pathways to achieve superior ratings. The presentation will also address ESG concepts and challenges in the credit rating process. The hour-long session is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. (EDT) on Sunday, June 5.
