A.M. Best Co. has withdrawn the financial strength rating of B++ (Good) and issuer credit rating of "bbb+" of Southeast Family Life Insurance Company and assigned an NR-5 (Not Formally Followed) to the FSR and an "nr" to the ICR.

Effective 12/28/2010, Southeast Family Life, an operating subsidiary of Central States Health & Life Co. of Omaha (Omaha, NE), was dissolved.

The principal methodology used in determining these ratings is Best's Credit Rating Methodology - Global Life and Non-Life Insurance Edition, which provides a comprehensive explanation of A.M. Best's rating process and highlights the different rating criteria employed. Additional key criteria utilized include: "Rating Members of Insurance Groups."
