AM Best has placed under review with developing implications the Financial Strength Rating of A (Excellent) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a+” (Excellent) of TUA Assicurazioni S.p.A. (TUA) (Italy).
This Credit Rating (rating) action is driven by the acquisition of TUA’s immediate parent, Societa Cattolica di Assicurazione S.p.A. (Cattolica), by Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. (Generali group). The ratings of TUA have been placed under review with developing implications while AM Best completes its analysis into TUA’s credit rating fundamentals.
AM Best expects to resolve the under review status during the first half of 2023.
